Piretti Putters South Africa were kind enough to lend the SOS Golf Tour two of their putters to review for our readers and members. We were able to put the Teramo in the bag of our Chairman, as well as in the bag of the winner of round one of the Tour, Dwain Margro. Here are both their Piretti Teramo reviews and their thought on the product.
Golfer: Damian Murphy
Handicap: 12
Product Type:
Putter
Brand:
Piretti Teramo
Type:
Mid-size Mallet
Shaft Length (Putters Only):
Regular
Looks:
There is something unique and different about the Piretti Brand. They look very traditional in their design, but at the same time, offer something very unique in the finer details. The sleek black finish and overall design stand out and the putter looks good standing over it, or even watching someone else use it.
Feel:
The Teramo is a mid-sized mallet putter that is designed for the mid to high handicapper. It has a great weight and allows you to swing straight and back through every putt you have. It is a heavier than normal putter, even for a mallet, but there is great balance to the Teramo and it aided in my being able to execute a fluid and smooth putting stroke. Although it is designed for the higher handicapped golfer, once you are accustomed to the weight, it aids you in sticking to the basics. So regardless of handicap, a good basic putting stroke is great for any golfer.
Distance Control:
Excellent on quick and slow greens, provided you follow the basics, this club will bring the best out in your putting game.
Pros:
The heavier weight means your putting is more controlled
Size and feel in hand.
Ease of use.
Cons:
A tad pricey

Depending on the putt’s distance, I always had great weight on my putt, by controlling the ball’s roll.

Great looks, unique style of putter in the bag, great control.
