Marcel ‘Marsehole’ Du Plessis became the first player to defend his crown in this relatively young tournament, The Gaugeler Cup, shooting a fantastic 40 points after a near faultless front nine. Hot on his heels was Damian Murphy, Grant Moolman and Ryan Bernberg who made up the other top four positions. Special mention must be made of Nick Rebello who shot a personal best round of 32 points for 5th place and he has proved that being a part of the SOS Golf Tour can do wonders for your game. He picked up the game early this year and has already settled into the proverbial swing of things.
