While there is some danger on the 1st, it is an easy to reach par 5 for the medium to long hitters with a generous landing area off the tee. The green is relatively flat and receptive to shots landing short.
Another memorable hole is the 12th, a par 4 that requires a precise tee-shot to land short of a water hazard on the left of the fairway as it doglegs uphill to the right. An iron off the tee is recommended for the longer hitters, but a brave golfer could attempt a sweeping cut around the corner to take the lake out of play. A large tree guards the right side of the fairway and the dogleg itself, so anyone playing a left to right shot shape off the tee would need to play cautiously here. The hole is lined by trees and has a large bunker covering the front of the green and water down the left, making it a challenging and scenic hole.
