International Golf Courses
Golf is one of the more popular sports around the world. It is played by around 70 million people if we base our estimates on surveys carried out in 2003 and 2009. The majority of golfers are in America, with around 61% of the global golf population from the United States. Golf in Asia is on the rise and with child prodigies like 14 year old Guan Tianlang from China playing in the Masters tournament at Augusta National in 2013, it is no wonder the Asia has been earmarked as the market for expansion.

Africa, and golf in Africa is also growing, however African golfers make up less than 1% of the global market. This statistic is surprising considering the amount of talent countries like South Africa and Zimbabwe have produced. Ernie Els, Gary Player, Charl Schwartzel, Nick Price, George Coetzee, Brandon Grace and George Coetzee have all developed from these two Southern African countries.
